Can you believe the Democrat parties’ antics concerning President Trump’s and Elon Musk’s efforts to cut spending and debt? They have screamed, threatened, and protested to whoever will listen that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) must be stopped, and Musk must be removed. Next, I expect they will hold their breath and stomp their feet.
Now comes word the US will have a $838 billion cash shortfall just for the first four months of the fiscal year. Nearly a trillion dollars upside down for just the next four months. That nugget, courtesy of the Biden Administration, is 15% higher than last year. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has projected the US will spend about $2 trillion more in overspending this fiscal year, which would be added to the $36.4 trillion we are already in debt. We spend more money just in interest payments than what we spend on our military.
The US spending/deficit problem is ludicrous and the people who saddled us with this debt should be hauled before a court. They have been stealing and spending our money recklessly for the past 40 years, saddling our children and grandchildren with an unsustainable debt load. It should come as no surprise Barack Obama had the largest spending deficits of all the presidents, totaling $8.3 trillion. Biden kicked in another $7 trillion to the national debt. Trump himself added $8 trillion in his first term, although much of that was for COVID relief.
So along comes Trump and Musk to do something about our financial straits by trimming bureaucratic head counts, congressional boondoggles, and curtailing foreign aid. They are even considering doing away with the Dept. of Education entirely, with a $268 billion budget and 4,100 employees. Is the IRS next? (One can only dream!)
The Democrats and mainstream media are trying to block any attempt the Trump Administration makes. It will only get worse as Trump and crew continue to slash spending. Democrats, who now find themselves completely rudderless, are apoplectic, calling for a war to stop Trump. Minority leader Chuck Schumer has screamed for Democrats to force back against Trump by using investigations and lawsuits.
Senator Andy Kim from NJ had the audacity to warn Republicans not to count on Democrats to pass a budget or avert a government shutdown unless Trump shuts down DOGE. Wrap your head around that – they would rather shut the government down rather than reduce excess spending out of the government. What the hell planet are these people from?
House Minority Leader, Hakeen Jeffries warned that Trump is defunding programs important to everyday Americans and it must be stopped in the upcoming funding bill. Hey Hakeen, everyday Americans are behind Trumps efforts to reel in government spending and waste. Did you not learn anything from the last election?
To paraphrase the NY Post, “Just how much red ink do Democrats think is acceptable? When was the last time Democrats pushed for getting a grip on spending?” Why are Democrats threatening to shut down the government, again, on March 14th?
So far, DOGE states they have trimmed $55 billion from government spending, although any mainstream media outlet is more than happy to try and dispel that number, settling on a figure of “only” $9 billion dollars. I would imagine the White House may be inflating numbers, but you could bet your first born child the media is doing everything they can to drive down those numbers.
Keep in mind, DOGE and Trump have only been in office about 30 days. If DOGE trimmed only the absurd lowball figure of $10 billion per month, that would equate to nearly a half trillion dollars over Trump’s time in office. Does anybody know of another presidential administration that trimmed that much out of the budget? And if the figure was really that “low” why are Democrats screaming, and protesting so much?
Even Democrat party donors are tired of the Dems whining and complaining about the cuts DOGE is implementing. They are pulling their money from Democrats and starting to back Trump.
Folks, we don’t have an earnings problem in this country, we have a spending crises by politicians using our money as their personal piggyback. They buy votes and favors with our money, enriching themselves. Voters would do well to remember Democrat efforts come the next election.
We may possibly be looking at the death of the Democrat party.
