Joining Steve is Jayla Thomas who is running for State Rep of Tennessee District 55, Jayla is a business leader, energy advocate, and community focused problem solver who believes leadership means running toward hard challenges, not away from them.
Jayla is not running to be part of that circus. She is running because she spent her career solving real problems, helping small business owners start, grow, and scale. Enabling them to build strong systems so they could spend less time buried in day-to-day operations and more time with the people they love. She knows what happens when growth outpaces wisdom, and what leadership without accountability costs everyday people the most.
District 55 doesn’t need another career politician. It needs someone who listens, collaborates, and gets results. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and educated in New York, Jayla has seen firsthand what happens when growth is pursued without guardrails. From a young age, she knew she wanted to make Nashville her home, a city defined by culture, community, and character. That dream became reality after she got married and convinced her husband to take the leap, putting down roots in a place they now proudly call home.
