President Trump’s decision to confront and subsequently attack Iran wasn’t some rash act of aggression or political stunt.  It was a calculated, necessary move against a regime dangerously close to attaining nuclear weapons capabilities.  Anyone ignoring this reality is either willfully blind or complicit in allowing this catastrophic threat to fester in the middle east.

For far too long, the Iranian regime has been playing cat and mouse with the international community, cynically and stealthily building its nuclear weapons infrastructure underground.  Despite having some of its nuclear program destroyed through targeted strikes, espionage, and sanctions, Iran has never ceased its nuclear ambitions.  To say that Iran is seeking nuclear technology for peaceful means is naïve and stupid.  It’s also a dangerous narrative propagated by the same radical Jihadists.

Let’s consider the stakes if Iran were able to succeed in fully weaponizing nuclear technology; the consequences for the world would be apocalyptic.  Their stated goal “to wipe Israel off the map” isn’t just bluster, it’s their official state policy.  The specter of a nuclear-armed Iran is not just an abstract fear for our Jewish allies; it’s an existential threat to the Israeli people and the entire middle east. 

This would trigger a deadly nuclear proliferation across the Middle East, with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other Arabic countries in the region maneuvering to develop or acquire nuclear munitions of their own to counterbalance Tehran.  The entire world would be staring down the barrel of unprecedented instability where any act could spark a catastrophic nuclear conflict.  

Iran’s theocratic rulers have proven time and time again that human life is expendable in their brutal pursuit of a jihadist revolution.  This is not a regime that negotiates in good faith.  When given a chance to reign in their nuclear program, Iran used diplomacy as a smoke screen while clandestinely accelerating weaponization efforts.  In 2015, Trump rightfully pulled the plug on the foolhardy JCPOA (the Iran nuclear deal), and in 2026, Trump was right to degrade Iran’s military capabilities before it was too late.    

Detractors love to paint President Trump as reckless or impulsive for his tough stance on the Iranian regime, but nothing could be further from the truth.  The jihadist theocrats only understand one language and that’s brute force.  He understood something that nine other presidents failed to grasp; that appeasement and negotiations wouldn’t stop the Iranian National Guard Corp (IRGC) from building the bomb.

During this entire time, Iran continued its shameless game of violating U.N. resolutions, enriching uranium in secret facilities, and expanding its ballistic missile capabilities designed precisely to deliver nuclear warheads.  The recent discovery of covert nuclear sites and undeclared facilities make it abundantly clear that Tehran has never abandoned its pursuit of doomsday weaponry, despite all the wishful thinking of diplomats and globalists alike.  Trumps approach was to hit Iran hard before they crossed the Rubicon; and it was the correct call.      

My message to those who downplay these facts or dismiss Iran’s true intentions is this.  Show me a country less deserving of the benefit of the doubt than Iran.  The regimes record is crystal clear; decades of hostage taking, terror attacks, proxy wars, blatant treaty violations, nuclear ambitions, and relentless threats posed against its neighbors; all culminated to the necessary use of military force.

President Trump recognized the cold hard truth others preferred to ignore; protecting America’s interests, ensuring the security of our allies, especially Israel, and maintaining global stability was a top priority.  This preemptive mindset sometimes requires bold and decisive action on a moment’s notice.  When faced with a radical regime racing toward nuclear weapons with genocidal intent, hesitating equals death and destruction. 

Lastly, Iran is not a nation seeking peaceful coexistence, it’s a theocratic menace bent on destabilizing the world, fomenting sectarian wars, and eradicating the west.  Trump was right to expose the duplicity of Iran’s nuclear program, right to withdraw from the futile and meaningless “Iran deal,” right to isolate and sanction the regime, and yes, right to attack militarily to degrade Iran’s military infrastructure before it was too late.  History will judge him rightly for standing up to one of the most dangerous regimes of our time before they could unleash hell on the world.
