WASHINGTON — Washington state’s population has officially grown to over 8 million people.
According to the Office of Financial Management, the state’s population has grown by about 84,550 residents in the last year. The total population is now 8,035,7000.
The OFM said that Washington is growing at a slower rate than the annual average for the last decade. In 2024, the state’s population grew by over 84,000 residents compared to just over 98,000 between 2010 and 2020.
