OLYMPIA, Wash. (TND) — A legal watchdog alleged Wednesday that Washington Gov. Jay Inslee is permitting “state-sanctioned kidnappings” in a new bill pertaining to transgender youth.
American First Legal (AFL), led by former Trump adviser Stephen Miller, sued Gov. Inslee Wednesday after the Democratic governor signed Senate Bill 5599. The bill makes it so shelters in the state which take in runaway children are not required to contact a child’s parents under certain “compelling reasons.”
Such reasons include children who are seeking gender transitioning medical treatments, suffer from gender dysphoria or desire “reproductive health services.”
