With severe cold weather moving into the region, more than 100 migrants living in tents have been moved off the Riverton Park United Methodist Church camp ground. The non-profit “Save The Kids” will be housing these families in motels for the next four months. But the group emphasizes this is only a “bridge” until these asylum seekers can find a permanent solution. Meanwhile, Tukwila City leaders say at least 250 people were living at the church before this latest move. However, Pastor Jan Bolerjack says more migrants come each day asking for help, but she wouldn’t say if they were being turned away. Complicating matters, the migrants are allegedly telling friends and family members to come here to Washington state! They believe there are more resources to help with their transition from the border.
