The shooting happened inside AMC Kent Station 14 while people were watching the new Transformers movie, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Officers responded to the movie theater, located on the 400 block of Ramsay Way, around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday.
A Kent Police Department detective at the scene told KOMO News Tuesday morning the shooting appeared to be targeted. The teen who was shot inside the theater was able to make it outside but died on the sidewalk.
