SEATTLE — Following a series of gang-related shootings, residents of Seattle's Central District held a forum Thursday night to discuss their worries about overall crime and violence.
Even though the forum was organized in less than 24 hours, dozens of worried residents showed up and voiced their concerns. They described the Central District as an environment festering with fear and growing frustration.
"I’ve called (police) numerous times, and I’ve just been waiting for someone to answer the phone," said one man.
Also addressing the forum was a man who witnessed Tuesday's gang-fueled gun battle.
