Rite Aid announced it's closing 154 stores nationwide after recently filing for bankruptcy, and nearly a dozen of those locations are in Washington state.

The third-largest United States drugstore chain declared bankruptcy on Sunday amid struggling sales and opioid-related lawsuits. On Tuesday, it listed all 154 stores slated to be closed, though it did not say when they will be shuttered.

Rite Aid, which acquired Bartell Drugs in 2020, had already closed five of the Seattle-based pharmacy chain stores in less than a year. The company said it obtained $3.45 billion in fresh financing to go toward keeping remaining stores open as its restructuring moves forward.
