Another local business was hit by thieves. This time in north Seattle. It happened at Maple Leaf Hardware just before closing time Friday around 5:15 p.m.
The store's security cameras captured images of three teenagers in the parking lot as they bolted from the store. The staff said it appeared that one of the teens was holding a gun.
Seattle police told KOMO News they have identified all three of them, but the case remains open and for that reason, there is no other information available.
Store manager Ralph Kendall said tools were taken, and he estimated that the store is dealing with attempted thefts every other week.
"It's gotten a lot worse. We are always watching every day," Kendall said.

He said he has noticed an influx in thefts at their location since just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Maple Leaf Hardware is on Roosevelt Way NE near 90th Street.
"I'm getting frustrated and a little scared now," said Kendall, "We had somebody a few months ago threaten us with a gun when we had to escort them out, so it's getting a little scarier these days."
