Pray, Pray, Pray by Gigi

When you feel frustrated pray, scared pray, happy pray, anxious pray.

Last night I laid in bed tossing and turning at 4:20 am sleep evading me. Worrying about the rising cost of everything , how I was going to provide for my daughter and the upcoming election .

Everything was quite around me ( except my snoring dog at the foot of my bed). The world was quiet but why wasn’t my mind?

Then I remembered a song as a kid from Bible class. ( He’s got the whole world in His hands.) If I truly believe that as a follower then why is it my human instinct to still panic?

I know it’s human nature. We think we are all alone in the world and no one else is feeling these stresses. But, Im not alone. Millions of people are probably feeling exactly the same.

So I decided to take a breath and pray. Pray for God to fill me with His peace. Peace that passes all understanding. As I prayed I felt my anxiety decrease and I finally drifted off to sleep.

I hope this is a help to someone who is feeling stresses of everyday life. You are not alone in this big world. God is walking beside you, holding your hand. He chases after us and loves us enough to never let go.
