The states of Washington and Oregon have become the first two states in America to start teaching gender identity to children as young as five; under the pretense of “health education.” Olympia’s recently enacted partisan “sex education bill” targets the pre-pubescent directly, requiring children in kindergarten and first grade to learn that “there are many ways to express gender,” while second and third graders are taught that “there is a range of gender roles and expression.”
Parents are rightfully outraged as wokeness enters their homes and the pre-pubescent level of children’s education. Progressive democrat leaders and educators have defined gender as “a social construct based on emotional, behavioral and cultural characteristics attached to a person’s biological sex.” Got it? Never mind what science teaches us about chromosomes and DNA; the indoctrination starts here.
Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis has taken a bold step for parental rights by passing the “Parental Rights in Education Bill,” recently signed into law. This will prevent instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation to pre-pubescent and pre-adolescent children. Some cities and states have taken it a step further and made it a crime to teach what they deem “pornographic materials” to the same aged children. Many on the left have called Florida’s new law “unnecessary.”
In Virginia, mother of six Stacy Langton, testified at her school board meeting regarding the content of books in the publicly funded school library. Two books in particular were the target of her ire, “Lawn Boy and Gender Queen.” “Both of these books include pedophilia,” Langton told the Fairfax County school board. “One of the books describes sex between a fourth-grade boy and an adult male,” decried Langton.
You can see why Dr. Seuss and Mr. Potato Head needed to be canceled.
In New Jersey, parents were shocked to read some of the texts being rolled out in September 2022. Like Washington and Oregon, the progressive-led state is also exposing these young children to sexual gratification, masturbation and anal stimulation unbeknownst to their parents. Many cities and states have now criminalized these materials from being taught to these children, utilizing laws already on the books meant to protect children this age.
These scholastic discoveries occurred during online learning, when parents were able to get a glimpse into the radical curriculum being taught. Critical race theory, transgenderism and Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE) are the latest tools meant to place a wedge in the nuclear family and desensitize children, while removing the autonomy of the parents to raise their children as they see fit. The deconstruction of the American family and Western civilization is their intended goal.
Despite numerous studies showing these doctrines fail to achieve stated goals and result in increased sexual activity, schools are doubling down and devoting up to 70 hours of classroom time per child for sex education. The normalization of sex through (CSE) has now trickled down to the K-thru 3rd grade levels and advanced the radical sexual ideology in public schools; furthering the exploitation of children barely old enough to read.
Much of the so-called sex education content is teaching children to have many partners over the course of a lifetime, flying directly in the face of Judeo-Christian values and other faith views on marriage and sexuality. This is not the role of the public school system; it is the role of the parent. Elected school boards have the authority to refuse or rebut these teachings, but blue cities and states seem all too happy to acquiesce.
