| PORTER MARTIN TURNS HEARTBREAK INTO A TEXAS-SIZED TWO-STEP WITH THE RELEASE OF HIS NEW SINGLE “EXES IN TEXAS” |

Nashville, Tenn.— Country singer-songwriter Porter Martin turns heartbreak into a Texas-sized two-step with the release of his new single, “Exes in Texas,” available on all platforms today. Already gaining traction at country radio, the track has climbed to No. 2 on the CDX True Indie Chart and No. 52 on the MusicRow Mainstream Country Chart, and offers a taste of Martin’s forthcoming album, Lovers & Losers, which also features “Square Town,” co-written with GRAMMY Award-winning hitmaker Lainey Wilson.
Written solely by Martin during a fall 2025 radio tour, “Exes in Texas” came together somewhere between a long drive across the Lone Star State and a beachfront campground in Port Aransas.
“About four hours into Texas, a melody came to me and I remembered a girl once telling me, ‘Good luck finding somebody else.’ All I could think about was how many other women live in Texas,” Martin shares. “When I got to Port Aransas, I pulled out my guitar, poured a little Woodford Reserve and 30 minutes later, ‘Exes in Texas’ was born.”
Martin played the song for his radio team just days later, and their immediate response sent him into the studio to record what would become his fourth radio single.

About Porter Martin:
With more than 3,000 shows under his belt, Porter Martin has spent years earning his place in country music the old-fashioned way—from packed clubs and songwriter rooms to stages alongside some of the genre’s most recognizable names. The Alabama native has shared the stage with country music mainstays such as Montgomery Gentry, Cole Swindell, Brantley Gilbert, Dierks Bentley, The Marshall Tucker Band, Randy Rogers Band, Eli Young Band, Love & Theft, Craig Campbell, Jerrod Niemann and Chancey Williams.
Martin’s journey from small-town Alabama to Nashville began at just 12 years old, when a visit to the legendary Bluebird Café sparked a love for songwriting and country music. Two years later, he picked up a guitar, moving from strumming Eagles covers to writing songs of his own.

At country radio, Martin has continued to build momentum. “Hell That I Call Home” reached No. 1 on the CDX True Indie chart, while “Walking the Floor” climbed to No. 3 on the CDX True Indie chart and No. 47 on the MusicRow Magazine chart. His journey has also come full circle in Nashville, where he now performs at the very place that first inspired him, The Bluebird Café, along with songwriter staples Whiskey Jam and The Listening Room.
