Multiple mass shootings across US mark deadly weekend

Chaos erupted in multiple states across the U.S. this weekend, with at least five people killed and nearly 50 others hurt in mass shootings from Friday to Sunday.

As of Monday, the Gun Violence Archive reported there have been 247 mass shootings so far across the U.S. in 2024. The Gun Violence Archive defines a mass shooting as one in which four or more people are shot, excluding the shooter.
