One man was injured in an apartment fire early this morning in Mill Creek.
The fire was reported just before 2:15 a.m. at the Ardent Apartments in the 1100 block of Mill Creek Blvd. Flames were shooting up the side of the two-story building and the injured man was outside when the first South County Fire crew arrived.
The man was taken by medic unit to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. No one else was injured.
Crews made a quick attack and had the fire under control within 30 minutes. South County Fire received assistance from Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue.
The fire damaged four apartment units. Support 7 and Red Cross are assisting at least three displaced residents.
South County Fire is investigating the cause of the fire.
