One of two suspects in custody connected to a murder in Oakton, Virginia was revealed by immigration officials to be an illegal immigrant from Honduras with a history of arrests for violent crimes, according to multiple reports.

The Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) division of ICE reportedly placed repeated immigration detainers on Guzman-Videz with the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, however, the County refused to honor them.

Maudin Anibal Guzman-Videz was placed under arrest last weekend, but the Fairfax County Police Department has said it is not the first time he's been in custody. Guzman-Videz was reportedly arrested for malicious assault for severely injuring a victim, along with other charges on March 17th. As reported by WJLA, he was arrested yet again in June and charged with malicious wounding.

In July 2019 his deportation was ordered by a Houston immigration judge. However, Guzman-Videz remained at large in the U.S.
