War is good for business but not for the earth.
The problem with arms dealers is they only make money when they sell arms, which equates to the ongoing need to foment and create war. When we look at why wars are launched we had better look at the trillions of dollars generated by way of waging wars. Trillions of taxpayer dollars have been used by the US government to purchase WMD’s to be used against countries who do not go along with the party line. Read War is a Racket you can find it free online. This little booklet will explain why wars are waged it changed my life.
Now add in all other countries who wage wars. Who makes the arms for the USA and all the other nations? Who makes the bombs and missiles used by Israel? Who makes them for the African nations? Who makes them for Ukraine? You guessed it arms makers located here in the good old USA. These companies employee tens of thousands of people. I suspect most of these people never ask themselves if what they are doing is moral much less good for the world.
Peace is good for the majority of the world’s population while it is bad for a minority who make a living building, selling and using these weapons. Keep in mind if you own a mutual fund chances are good it contains WMD companies within it. On a personal note, I am in the process of moving my investment portfolio out of WMD makers and into nonviolence oriented companies. It is not something that can be done overnight but it can and will be done. God tapped me on the shoulder and told me Steve you have to get out of owing stocks in these companies of course there are other companies I will be adding to that list like Big Pharma.
Merry Christmas and peace on earth and goodwill to all.
