Last week it was Kameleon this week it is the Trunkster being lampooned.
It is the eve of elections where millions have dropped their ballots into the ballot box while others have mailed them in and still others will show up at the poles on Tuesday to mark their ballot. Some say it is the most important election of all time others are going to sit it out believing it makes no difference who gets into office. For those voting each person believes their candidate is the right person for the job even if that person has a gnat’s chance in hell.
When we examine the truth of things we see the GOP machine hates outsiders as does the DEM machine both sides love war, love power, love to oppress the poor of the world including those in the USA. Both parties never saw a tax they did not vote in. Both parties are, filled with power hungry profit driven, pleasure-seeking individuals who do not have your or my interests in mind they work for those who give them the money to get into office.
I know this to be true I have spoken first hand with insiders that told me what they do to outsiders who don’t go along with their agendas is not very nice. I first discovered this back in the early 2000’s, having lunch with a local politician within the GOP party. That is when I internally began reassessing my allegiances and how much energy I would expend in working to get someone I believed in into office.
Over the years, my experience has proven to be true no one who runs, as an outsider gets any financial support from the machine they get, pushed around, threatened and even sabotaged. I am talking Dem and GOP. Politics is not for the feint hearted it is about who has the most money and influence not, the best ideas and highest integrity. Yes, local races such as city council positions have the best chance to be run for, expect a couple go arounds before anyone knows who, you are.
Watch how long an outsider lasts within office very few make it past one sitting before the machine goes to work to make up dirt to the point the outsider leaves office or isn’t voted back in. Anyone who speaks truth to the powerbrokers days will be, numbered, very few last past a single term. If you do not support the likes of AIPAC, the war machine or cheap labor and open boarders all hell will be, brought down on you. Voting for a politician expecting them to do what they say they will do while on campaign trail is like Charlie Brown trusting Lucy to not pull up the football when he goes to kick it.
Horton Hears a Who, is a story that reminds us that no matter how small we are, we matter. No matter our race, place of residence be it inside our Mothers, womb or outside it you have value. You have value wherever you live be it in America or Iraq, China or Palestine, Zimbabwe or Russia. In God’s eyes everyone is equal everyone is made in His image. If only those proclaiming Christ as their savior truly lived, what he taught the world would be far better place than it is.
I do not have any hope that things will change anytime soon, but I do have hope in the long term when I see individuals all over the world waking up to the evil being done and refusing to participate in it. The winds are changing God is not done with the human race he is patiently waiting for people to repent and turn away from doing evil. This includes politicians and CEO’s of companies who make a living off man’s inhumanity to their fellow man.
On a personal note, my life is blessed beyond measure not because of someone in office but because God has blessed me with every gift in Jesus. He has given me a new heart one that grieves at the death of innocent peoples all over the world at the hands of evil doers in the form of governments. I am grieved at the indifference I myself have been guilty of which has caused me to repent (turn away). This change of heart is, reflected in my art, articles, teachings, podcasts, books and interactions with open-minded individuals. Truth sets you free even if it hurts temporarily.
