According to a Facebook post, the Southeast Caldwell County Volunteer Fire Department quickly responded to the fire and managed to put it out in a short amount of time. Later on, officials from the fire department clarified that it was the original Buc-ee’s travel center, which had been closed after the opening of a new location across the street, that sustained the damage.

The chain, known for its roadside snacks such as BBQ brisket sandwiches and the beloved Beaver Nuggets, opened the new travel center at 10070 I-10. This impressive facility spans 75,000 square feet and includes an astounding 120 gas pumps. Fortunately, this new Buc-ee’s location was not affected by the fire that damaged the old store.
