A memorial has grown outside a Japanese restaurant after a nearby shooting in Belltown on Tuesday left one of the owners dead and the other, her husband, injured.

The 30-year-old man who allegedly fired a gun into a car Tuesday morning, killing the pregnant woman and injuring her husband, remains in King County custody.

Eina Kwon, the 34-year-old woman in the car, was 32 weeks pregnant and was shot multiple times. Her baby was emergently delivered at Harborview Medical Center and survived for a short time before dying, according to a probable cause statement.

Kwon’s husband, 37-year-old Sung Kwon, was shot in the arm and remains hospitalized at Harborview.
