A 53-year-old man who was shot over the weekend in Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood has died. The deadly shooting marks Seattle's 68th homicide of the year, which is one away from the city's record.

The King County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Jason F. Tuttle of Seattle.

According to police, Tuttle was shot in the head near 9800 Martin Luther King Junior Way South around 10 a.m. Saturday.

Detectives said they arrested a 33-year-old man in connection to Tuttle's death, though they did not say what may have led up to the shooting.
