One person is dead and two others injured after a shooting at Lynndale Park in Lynnwood Monday night.
According to the Lynnwood Police Department (LPD), officers responded to a report of shots fired at Lynndale Park around 10 p.m. Monday. The park is located just north of Lynndale Elementary School.
LPD spokesperson Maren McKay told KOMO News responding officers learned four people were involved in the shooting. McKay said one person was killed in the shooting, and two others were taken to the hospital.
Photos and video from the scene Tuesday morning show dozens of evidence markers in a basketball court at the park.
Lynnwood police have not confirmed how the fourth person was involved in the shooting. However, investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and there was no danger to the public.
What led up to the shooting is currently unknown.
