Joining me, including LIVE performance!, is Nashville's Michael Rix. His current album I Can See the Sun has streamed 24 million streams. He is the author of the book From Cult to Country telling his tragedy to triumph survivor story.

His sound is a combination of Bluegrass Country, and Americana themes. He has performed the Grand Ole Opry (Community Day Festival), Ken Burns PBS Country Music, & has toured with The War & Treaty (2024), Zach Bryan (2024|2025), Ashley Mcbryde, Black Crows, The Lumineers (2023) & more!

Besides being a banjo country music artist, Michael Rix is an author, actor, and singer based out of Nashville, Tennessee. His story is even more extraordinary than expected!

Rix’s parents were high school sweethearts who both attended Bowling Green State University. His mother was studying Psychology and his dad was in pre-med when they were introduced to the now infamous Hobert Freeman who taught the young couple that “God was obligated to heal the true believer.” Freeman also denounced TV and radio and the celebration of any holidays...and medicine that could have helped Michael's devastating childhood asthma and prevented the death of his youngest sibling. You'll want to share this story.
