American cities that were once celebrated as beacons of capitalism and prosperity are now a product of severe urban decay and despair, all thanks to a cadre of Marxist Democrat leadership. The latest disaster belongs to none other than New York City, where the good people of New York saw fit to elect a cop hating antisemite, and Marxist progressive named Zoran Momdani; and have effectively sealed their own fate.
Don’t hold out hope for some sort of resistance or common-sense resurgence, we are witnessing what most believe is the unthinkable; one of America’s most iconic symbols of capitalism and the free market has been handed over to communist extremists. Under his guidance, the city will become a blueprint for economic disaster and failed governance. Going forward, this will serve as a grim reminder of unchecked leftist policies and Marxist social engineering by foreign proxies.
We need only look at other cities where the Marxist rot has already spread. Cities like Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, and many others lie caught between a chasm of poverty and fear. Each of these cities is suffering under the weight of Marxist/progressive leadership and their radical policies.
In Seattle, the once majestic skyline now looms over a city riddled with homelessness and open-air drug use. The Emerald city now serves as a warning about what happens when progressive ideals go unchecked. With an unrelenting push for “defunding the police and cash bail reform,” the city has found itself in a downward spiral where law-enforcement is grossly undermanned and completely hamstrung by elected leaders. It too has done the unthinkable and elected a communist as its mayor.
Regrettably, it doesn’t stop there, the decay has spread like malignant cancer to many other major U.S. cities. The common thread being leaders that prioritize repressive principles over the well-being of its own citizenry. Chicago, once synonymous with its Miracle Mile shopping district and vibrant culture, is now known for its gang violence and economic decline as residents flee the region by the hundreds of thousands. Those that can afford to leave, do so for the simple reasons of self-survival and quality of life. Mayors like Marxist progressive Brandon Johnson are more interested in keeping their jobs and virtue signaling, rather than tackling real problems facing their communities.
Portland deserves a less than honorable mention as well. Riots and civil unrest have become a daily occurrence, as lawlessness prevails while city leaders not only watch from the sidelines, but incite the mayhem. It’s downtown area, once a hub for artistic expression and natural beauty has been transformed into a battleground almost overnight. The city’s streets are littered with needles, human waste, and an unfiltered air of constant conflict.
What bonds these Marxist leaders is their mindset, which is driven by a set of principles that prioritizes a fundamentally flawed view of American society. They claim to champion the oppressed while systematically dismantling the very structure that allows for upward mobility; robbing the hopes and dreams of each generation in its wake; never comprehending that Marxist policies will never hurt the so-called rich but will always devastate those with lesser means.
When these elected leaders espouse Marxist ideology, they beckon destruction upon their own people. Taxation becomes punitive rather than productive, regulation becomes a hinderance rather than help, and safety becomes a luxury for the privileged few who can afford it. Eventually it will lead to widespread discontent. This is communism 101.
When a city like New York elects a man like Mamdani, they become complicit in their own demise. Two years from now we’ll be having this same conversation about a city near you. My message to the beleaguered citizens in these cities is this; you asked for it, you got it. There was a time when I felt sorry for the inhabitants of these communities, but that time has come and gone.
Those of us that choose to work hard every day and contribute to society will escape to warmer climates and friendlier governance; while you twist and tumble in the misery and chaos you helped to create. These Marxist leaders are simply a biproduct of your own ignorance. As this pattern continues to replicate in urban centers, don’t expect these once great cities to rise again. Sadly, they will continue to sink further into the sociopolitical abyss, fueled by an ideology that has proven time and time again to fail. In the end, they will somehow make it Trumps fault, never comprehending it was suicide by electorate.
