A 17-year-old from Wisconsin, Tremonte Kirk, has been convicted of committing horrific acts related to a serial rape case in Milwaukee. On Tuesday, the presiding Judge David Borowski sentenced him to 35 years in prison.
Judge Borowski stated, “This is an even more aggravating, depraved, sadistic and evil act.” The case unfolded when Kirk followed a woman into an elevator at her apartment building last December. After assaulting her, he stomped on a surgical incision on her leg.
The victim, Charlotte Nozar, bravely testified against Kirk. “Your Excellency, the serial rapist in front of you poses an existential threat to women in Milwaukee,” she asserted, expressing that nothing could restore her previous life. “Nothing can give me back my life and my legs as I knew them,” she added.
Reflecting on Kirk’s past, Judge Borowski condemned his behavior, pointing out that Kirk’s criminal record spans back to when he was only 12 years old. “You’ve committed a monstrous act—one that would lead average people to think you’re an absolute monster. Your parents raised a monster,” the judge remarked. He added that even if Kirk were older, his record would still be appalling.
