SEATTLE — A Seattle couple is sharing dramatic dash-camera video in hopes of warning others to be on the lookout for staged rear-end car crashes.
The couple says they believe they may have been among the first victims of the staged crashes, which police have been warning drivers about around Seattle for the last two weeks.
The couple — who asked to only be identified by their first names, Elizabeth and Tony — said the crash happened on Myers Way in the Highland Park neighborhood of Seattle.
The video shows a light-colored Hyundai approach the back of the couple's car and hit the bumper. Thinking it was suspicious, the couple kept driving to a nearby gas station before pulling over.
“As I approach the window, I see he’s wearing a full ski mask," Tony told KOMO News.
