What do you get when you combine political negligence with reckless ideology championed by Democrat leaders?  This isn’t a trick question, it’s the rationale and justification for federal intervention in Democrat led cities since Democrat leaders have abdicated their responsibilities to its citizenry.  Rising violent crime rates, and a general sense of lawlessness are now the norm, rather than the exception.  It’s time we shine the spotlight and hold these leaders accountable for launching these communities into the hands of criminals.
 
In the last few years, we’ve seen these once-thriving metropolises devolve into complete and utter chaos, all under the watchful eye and provocation of Democrat leadership.  Look no further than Chicago, Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, and numerous others where violent crime has skyrocketed.  It seems the Democrat policy changes, and policing reforms have only exacerbated the problems, allowing criminals to run amuck, while law-abiding citizens run for cover.
 
It’s hard to fathom how sworn elected officials can be so disconnected from the harsh realities in their communities.  Did they truly believe that “defunding the police,” or “cash bail reform” would somehow evade the consequences of their actions?  Simply put, if that’s the case, anyone that stupid, and that willing to place innocent civilians into the crosshairs of the criminal element is not fit to hold public office.  It's high time the bloodshed is stopped, and the federal government steps in to remedy the disaster these Democrat leaders have intentionally created.
 
According to FBI crime data, cities governed by Democrat mayors have seen massive spikes in violent crime over the past decade.  In major urban areas like Chicago, Baltimore, and Memphis, shootings and murders have drastically surged and become an everyday occurrence.  By implementing lenient policies, incentivizing homelessness, and advocating for the release of habitual offenders, they’ve turned their cities into virtual war zones.
 
The federal government can no longer sit idly by and allow these cities to descend further into the abyss.  President Trump has both a duty and the constitutional authority to protect and defend the life and liberty of all citizens.  Current law makers in these cities have abandoned their responsibilities to safeguard their citizenry.  It’s time for action; federal agencies should use all available resources to combat the criminal element besieging these cities, including the deployment of the national guard.
 
The woke ideologues in these cities will call it overreach, but the truth is, what other options exist?  Allowing Democrat mayors and governors, like Brandon Johnson and JB Pritzker to further aggravate the situation through inflammatory rhetoric and ineffective policies, is akin to allowing the inmates to run the asylum.  Since these so-called leaders refuse to protect their citizens, it then falls squarely on the federal govt to restore some semblance of order.  America’s constitution gives the executive branch broad authority to restore order; and thankfully, that’s exactly what this president and his administration intends on doing.   
 
The incessant chaos unfolding daily in Democrat led cities is a direct reflection of the political negligence inflicted by incompetent Democrat elected officials.  The time for pretending that everything is fine while the body count continues to rise has long passed.  The federal government must intervene and must take back the streets where the rule of law is rapidly crumbling under the weight of the progressive failures.
