Nicole Kidman is speaking out about her split from ex-husband Keith Urban for the first time.
In a new interview with Variety published on Wednesday (March 11), the Big Little Lies actress shared brief comments on her divorce from the country music star. The former couple were married for nearly two decades before their September 2025 split, per Page Six.
"I'm always going to be moving toward what's good," she said. "What I'm grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That's that."
Kidman added that she chooses not to share too much about the split out of respect for her family and their "darling" daughters.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have two daughters together: Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, born in 2008, and Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, born in 2010. They are actively involved in their daughters' lives, with Kidman recently seeking primary custody following their divorce.
"Everything else I don't discuss out of respect," she said. "I'm staying in a place of, 'We are a family,' and that's what we'll continue to be."
Nicole and Tom Cruise divorced in 2001 after ten years of marriage, with Kidman describing the split as a shock to her. The couple had adopted two children during their marriage, and Kidman later said she focused on her acting career to cope with the emotional aftermath of the divorce.
