Lambert confirmed on Monday (August 18) that Band Together Texas raised $8.5 million for flood relief efforts. Proceeds benefit the Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country and Central Texas Community Foundation.

Lambert and McCollum were among artists to take the stage at the event on Sunday evening (August 17) at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Others in the lineup included Cody Johnson, Ronnie Dunn, Lyle Lovett, Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, Jack Ingram, Jon Randall, Ryan Bingham, Lukas Nelson and Dylan Gossett. Jason Aldean took the stage as a surprise guest. Matthew McConaughey, Dennis Quaid, Roger Clemens, Mack Brown, Colt McCoy, Vince Young, Chris Harrison and Emmanuel Acho also made appearances at the live-streamed event.
