Federal and state authorities have arrested more than 100 illegal aliens in the controversial Colony Ridge development north of Houston.

On Monday, President Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, told Fox News that approximately 90 illegal aliens were arrested in the area. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement later announced that arrests totaled at 118.

Gov. Greg Abbott announced that he had been working with Homan for several months, and that state and federal authorities would work together in targeting criminal aliens in Colony Ridge.

Homan described the operation on Monday as “Phase 1.”

Criminal aliens were arrested at worksites and during traffic stops. Texas Scorecard witnessed a visible show of force from DPS with at least a dozen DPS patrol vehicles performing traffic stops in the area.

ICE told Fox News it arrested Florentin Chevez-Luna, a 39-year-old criminal alien who has been deported multiple times and is wanted for the sexual assault of a minor.

“It’s a larger criminal investigation into a network,” Homan told Fox News.

“There were several sexual predators, I mean child predators, that were arrested for sexual misconduct with a child—there are several of them. I know there’s one that was convicted of homicide or murder,” continued Homan.
