A farmer was having a discussion with a politician who had stopped to solicit the farmers vote. Said the farmer, “Son, as I see it, most politicians are just post turtles.”
The young politician asked what a post turtle is. The farmer replied: “When you see a turtle up on a post, you know it didn’t get there by itself, it doesn’t belong up there, it’s elevated above its ability to function, and you wonder who the idiot was that put it up there.”
Harris kept telling the sparse audience what she is going to do if elected president. Why didn’t she do any of those things while she was vice president.
Of late, she’s lying about issues she says she won’t do, but is on video saying exactly the opposite. In her case, she seems fond of adopting some Trump policies, such as no tax on tips, which she has no intent of keeping. This is a common ruse by politicians when running for office, veering to the center of the political scale while running, never intending to stay there if elected. In Chebanse, we call that lying.
She bragged about continuing with “Biden’s economic plan,” a classic oxymoron. The audience actually clapped! Perhaps they were promised a milk bone to clap on queue. As Fox’s Charles Payne said afterward – “If the Biden/Harris economy is so great, why does she want to change it.”
She claimed Trump was the originator of the Project 2025 plan and then went on about the evils it would cause American citizens. Trump did not initiate the plan, it was an idea that came from the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank. Until recently, Trump claimed not to know anything about it. Harris threw out standard Democrat red meat fodder that Trump is going to give tax cuts to billionaires. That cliché is so old, I’ll bet Stephen Douglas accused Abraham Lincoln of the same thing. Folks, most elite billionaires vote Democrat and send Democrat politicians big donations.
More red meat: She “misinformed” the audience that Trump policies, such as the Affordable Care Act, will take health insurance from 45 million people. Bull! The ACA is fraught with issues at taxpayer expense and the only one making money is Big Pharma, who votes predominately Democrat. The ACA needs to be restructured at minimum, replaced if possible.
Keeping with red-meat-fodder, she brought up recent record profits for businesses. Certain segments, like Big Pharma, are making Big Profits. In my industry, transportation, it is averaging about a hundred companies per week going out of business. Under Biden, our company has had one of its worst two-year runs in our 77-year history. And here’s some important news folks, transportation leads the economy about six months.
Then there was this piece of tartar, accusing individuals of price gouging the food industry, promising to go after them. Grocery stores work on a 1- 2% margin - hardly considered price gouging. Those grocers could make more money for themselves by putting money in a bank money market. If she wants to go after price gougers, look into Big Pharma.
From out of leftfield, she wants to give first time home buyers $25,000, courtesy of our tax dollars. Imagine what that would cost this country and how it would pump up inflation further. If 100,000 people are approved, it would cost us tax payers $2.5 billion. How long will it take home sellers and/or realtors to build that extra charge into the price of homes, thus doubling taxpayer debt. And what about us schmucks that scrimped and saved to pay off our house – we going to get $25,000 too?
Even Obama economist Jason Furman stated Harris’s plans are misguided and she has no sensible policy.
Our Border Czar slept her way to the top, she doesn’t belong running for president, she has not shown any ability to run for president, and the idiot who put her there was Biden.
Folks, Border Czar Kamala Harris is a post turtle in a pants suit.
