SEATTLE — FBI agents confirmed Thursday they were investigating whoever sent suspicious letters — including some containing fentanyl — to elections offices in five Washington counties this week.
“Law enforcement is working diligently to intercept any additional letters before they are delivered,” an FBI statement said.
The Pierce County Auditor’s Office released images of the letter it received, showing it had been postmarked in Portland, Oregon, and read, in part, “End elections now.”
