Educating teenagers about this issue is the only answer to save lives.

Teenagers have to be informed that if they’re buying these drugs or being given these drugs, they might not be authentic pharmaceutical drugs. They have to understand that if these drugs weren’t prescribed to them personally by their physician, they have a chance of being counterfeit. Due to the severity of this crisis, there are now test strips that can test for Fentanyl to see if the drug is present. Centers that hand out these life saving test strips can be located at: doh.wa.gov (department of health).

We all have a role to play in this story. I encourage you to talk about this new drug epidemic with your family, friends, and neighbors. Together we can educate and protect our children. The past two years have taught us all how critical community is to our health.
