As you prepare your 2024 income tax information to fork over a third of your earnings to the IRS this April, you might want to take your blood pressure medication before reading this.
Having never heard of USAID before last week, I did a deep dive into some of the information the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is exposing. USAID was founded in 1961 by President Kennedy as a humanitarian gesture. Like everything other bureaucracy in DC, it has mushroomed into a behemoth agency with a $44 billion budget.
Through the myriad of “fact checkers” racing to the top of the browser to intermingle with major news outlets, one might get the impression that much of the information being exposed about governmental waste was not that extraordinary. Then I remembered, never trust mainstream media and fact checkers. I dug deeper for the rest of the story. Once again, I learned there is good reason to doubt mainstream media accounts.
This past Saturday, nineteen Democrat attorneys general filed a lawsuit, including avowed Trump malcontent, Letitia James (from New York), claiming Trump violated the law by accessing Treasury payment systems. An Obama appointee, US district Judge Paul Engelmayer (from New York) agreed and temporarily restricted Musk from accessing the system. Think about that – they claim a sitting president doesn’t have access to Treasury payment systems to save taxpayers money. If true, the system could never be repaired.
Tucker Carlson interviewed former Trump State Department Cyber official, Mike Benz, who worked directly with USAID. Benz claims USAID was used as a slush fund for Democrat stances, such as open borders, BLM riots, Russia hoaxes, drug trade, Soros-backed district attorneys, COVID, transgender surgeries, censorship, media funding, and “misplaced” Ukraine cash. It should come as no surprise their budget ballooned more than double under Biden.
Benz further claimed USAID is dirtier than the CIA in conducting covert operations, fund opposition movements, and undermine populist leaders worldwide. He also stated USAID the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, “the largest syndicate of hit-piece investigative journalists,” was given $20 million to dig dirt on Rudy Giuliani’s work in Ukraine to impeach Trump in 2019, and yet they were mum on Biden. They receive half their funding from USAID.
The largest recipient of the funding has been the quagmire in Ukraine – more than $46 billion since February of 2022. Other recipients included African and Middle East countries to combat poverty and disease, more aligned with its original mission.
However, according to the White House website, and House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast, USAID has given money to programs, such as:
- $1.5 million to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in Serbia.
- $70,000 for production of a DEI musical in Ireland.
- $2.5 million for electric vehicles in Viet Nam.
- $47,000 for a transgender opera in Columbia.
- $32,000 for a transgender comic book in Peru.
- $2 million for sex changes and LGBT activism in Guatemala.
- $6 million to fund tourism in Egypt.
- Hundreds of thousands of dollar to terrorists organizations.
- Millions more to:
* Eco Health Alliance, involved in research at the Wuhan lab.
* Meals to al al-Qaeda fighters in Syria.
* Distributing $15 million in contraceptives to the Taliban.
* Irrigation canals, equipment, and fertilizer to support the poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan!
It appears $270 million went to the billionaire Soros backed East West Management Institute, $75 million spent on diversity scams, $17 million for equity in Vietnam, $8 million to Sri Lankan journalists to avoid binary-gender languages, and $30 million to study AIDS in transvestite prostitutes in South Africa. Who decides and directs this money be paid for these boondoggles and why is that person or group not being hauled before a court?
Perhaps the worst of the spending though is the millions given to liberal media outlets, including Politico, NY Times, Associated Press, Reuters, Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, and CNN. They habitually lie to us and torpedo conservative news outlets, such as “X” to convince advertisers to boycott those organizations.
It does not appear Trump and Musk are done uncovering the criminal spending yet. Rightfully, Trump closed the USAID office last week, putting it under the jurisdiction of the State Department. The reason Swamp members like Cory Booker, Maxine Waters, Elizabeth Warren, Chuck Schumer and others are fighting against DOGE so vigorously is because they are complicit as hell in the waste of our tax dollars. Now they are even enlisting the judicial system against DOGE.
A country $36.2 trillion dollars in debt shouldn’t be funding foreign organizations, except perhaps the issues in Africa, until we clean up corrupt bureaucratic organizations and bring our debt down substantially.
