In the late 1950s, Nikita Khruschev famously boasted that the Soviet Union wouldn’t need to fire a single shot to conquer America.  Instead, he claimed, they would infiltrate our institutions, schools, media, government, and turn our own people against us.  Fast forward to today, and we learn another painful lesson that this wasn’t simply some exaggeration of cold war rhetoric, it was a chilling foretelling which is unfolding before our very eyes.  The biggest threat to America isn’t foreign missiles or armies invading our shores; it’s the Democrat party and the violent Marxist ideology it continues to incite. 
 
I want to be abundantly clear about one thing; this isn’t hyperbole or partisan rhetoric; it’s a harsh and factual assessment backed by years of observable and trackable trends.  From radical shifts in educational curricula to attempted political assassinations, and social justice policies which undermine the very foundations of our constitutional republic; the Democrat party has played a crucial role in Khruschev’s decades old prediction utilizing a Marxist progressive ideological Trojan horse to dismantle American culture from within.
 
I’ve grown so tired of the progressive left’s usual duplicitous mantra, “there no room for political violence in America,” along with their fraudulent outrage when another crackpot carries out a plot to assassinate the president of the United States or other conservative leaders.  The fact that the latest assassination attempt (a California school teacher) was willing to carry out such a heinous act right in the heart of Washington DC, at one of the most anticipated events in American political theatre underscores a terrifying reality. 
 
Democrat political discourse has devolved into a brutal battleground where morality and civility no longer exist when it comes to ideological disagreements.  As a matter of fact, they’ve become breeding grounds for fanaticism and bloodlust.
 
It would be easy to dismiss the recent attempt on Donald Trumps life and blame a “fringe radical progressive.”  But when fellow citizens, especially those educating today’s children, are pushed to such extremes, it indicates a much broader societal rot taking place and festering within.  This isn’t just about one crazed teacher from California; it’s about a pervasive culture of progressive hate and intolerance that is poisoning the well of American society.
 
The White House Correspondent’s Dinner is a century old tradition embraced by all of DC’s insiders, and bipartisan party representatives; and is considered sacrosanct as a neutral space to forget about disagreements and policy divisions; if at least for only one night, and share a few laughs with one another, and express our deep connected respect for our shared values and love of country. 
 
The attempted assassination of President Donald J Trump at the White House Correspondent dinner was not a one off, it marks the fourth time a radical progressive Democrat has taken up arms against the leader of the free world, here on American soil.  It’s now a glaring indicator of the dangerous political ideology of progressivism playing out in real time.
 
The first question we must ask is, how did we get to the point where a supposed educator of children, someone entrusted with shaping young minds, becomes so unhinged and filled with such venomous rage, that he attempt to commit murder of a sitting U.S. President and his cabinet?  Once you honestly ponder those questions, then candid conversations can be had. 
 
The Democrat party must first take full responsibility for its disgraceful conduct.  Stop pretending this is merely a case of mental illness or isolated extremism, a hard look in the mirror is required at this point, especially by its elected leadership.  The constant demonization and dehumanization of conservative voices have created a tinderbox situation.  Your endless propaganda painting President Trump and other conservatives as “Nazis,” “Fascists,” “or “Kings,” have real world consequences. 
 
When you stoke the flames of hatred endlessly, day after day, don’t act surprised when you lionize radicals within your ilk, and then amplify the rhetoric by giving them a national platform.   Your words matter and are like gasoline on a fire; ready to set America ablaze at a moment’s notice; or in this case, the White House Correspondent’s Dinner.  We need responsible elected leaders, not violent sociopolitical misfits. 
 
Unfortunately, these horrific events will continue to play out until Democrat leaders learn to become the adults in the room and refrain from the perpetuation of violent rhetoric, which seems to be the party’s lone political platform at this point.
