Water bottles recalled due to ‘insanitary conditions’

Hundreds of thousands of jugs of water distributed to Illinois and Wisconsin are being recalled after it was found the water was "bottled under insanitary conditions."

According to a Food and Drug Administration Enforcement report, Valley Springs Artesian Gold of Portage, Wisconsin, initiated the bottled water recall Feb. 6. In total, more than 650,000 bottles were recalled.

  • Valley Springs 100% Natural Bottled Water packaged in the following size plastic jug with plastic caps:

In May 2024 The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said a bottled water producer recalled thousands of cases shipped nationwide due to multiple issues. On May 23, the FDA announced that Natural Waters of Viti Limited was voluntarily recalling more than 78,000 cases of “Fiji Natural Artesian Water” due to manganese and three bacterial genera.

The water cases contained 24 bottles of water apiece, meaning about 1,884,792 individual bottles were affected.
