Someone once said, “may you live in interesting times,” and boy are these times interesting.  I wanted to look back at this past year; a kind of retrospective look at what the Democrat Socialist party has become and what they truly stand for; if anything at all.  If 2024 was a precursor, 2025 has certainly cemented their legacy as the party that loves to shoot themselves in the foot while standing on banana peels.  Bear with me as we stroll down memory lane, but be advised, this ride isn’t for the faint hearted. 
 
Let’s start with the progressive masterclass in misguided empathy.  It seems protecting criminals, especially illegal alien criminals, has become their forte.  The party’s unapologetic protection of dangerous and often deadly illegal aliens has not retreated one bit, as countless Americans continue to lose their lives at the hands of these uninvited barbarians.  Democrats have made it abundantly clear; they prioritize criminals over constituents. 
 
Sanctuary cities have created safe havens for the worst of the worst, as community leaders continue to refuse to work collaboratively with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), to safely remove these unwelcome violent intruders.  Simply allowing ICE to transfer illegal offenders from jail or prison settings would eliminate almost all street conflicts.  It’s worth noting, this nonsense doesn’t exist in red states.  
 
But their conduct doesn’t end with simple defiance of federal law, oh no.  Democrat political leaders in blue cities and states continue to fan the flames with inflammatory rhetoric, calling ICE agents “Nazi’s,” and “Gestapo,” encouraging violent encounters and now deadly interactions with all of law-enforcement.  Ironically, Minneapolis has become ground zero, having already been burned to the ground during the Democrat endorsed George Floyd riots of 2020.  We all watched in horror as stores were looted, police were assaulted, and entire neighborhoods were left in shambles; all while Democrat elected leaders cheered them on.
 
Since we’re already on the subject of Minnesota, let’s stick with it, shall we?  This year, the burka was finally lifted off the widespread fraud, and blatant thievery of taxpayer dollars taking place.  What’s been uncovered so far is simply mind boggling; all discovered by a twenty-something independent young journalist. 
 
Billions of hard-earned taxpayer dollars earmarked for children and senior citizens have been stolen by Somali immigrants, with the acquiescence of the useful idiot Democrat elected leaders in the state.  And rest assured, Minnesota is simply the tip of the iceberg, as Maine, Washington, California, and Illinois are now under similar department of justice fraud investigations.  Plenty more to come on this. 
 
Next up, the continuing saga of obstructing anything Trump.  As if anyone needs a reminder, the Democrats have focused all their attention on sabotaging any meaningful legislation put forth by the forty-seventh president and his administration.  Instead of rolling up their sleeves and attempting to work with the administration towards bipartisan solutions, they’ve chosen to adopt an “opposition for the sake of opposition” stance.  Bravo Democrats, your childish antics of shutting down the government served only to prove the point, you can’t be trusted to govern.
 
Shutting down the government is never a good look, but the Democrats wore it like a badge of honor in 2025.  Millions of Americans relying on services like SNAP benefits, food vouchers, and other essential federal services were left to fend for themselves, including America’s armed forces, while Democrats continued waving their “noble cause” banner, committing political malpractice. 
 
But the insanity didn’t stop there.  Let’s not forget one of the most despicable issues of all, allowing boys to compete in girls’ sports.  To this day, they still believe this is normal.  They’ve doubled down on the insanity, championing policies that have decimated young girls and women’s athletics; going so far as to refuse to define what a woman is.  And, if your still uncertain, just ask Supreme Court Justice K Brown Jackson, a Biden DEI appointee to the highest court.  It seems she’s still confused as well.    
 
At last count, biological men have taken over 780 medals from young girls and broken over 250 records and counting.  Another democrat milestone, you’ve disenfranchised an entire gender.  And what message does that send to young girls who dream of competing one day on a fair and level playing field, only to be ousted or bettered by a man?  Once again, bravo Democrats, another shiny medal for the hall of shame. 
 
The Democrats spent the entirety of 2025 solidifying their legacy as radical extremists.  From embracing radical ideologies to distancing themselves from any semblance of common sense, completely drowning out moderate voices and turning the party into an angry mob.  You are now a caricature of your former selves, but the question remains whether you even realize how disconnected you’ve become from the average American citizen.  Only time will tell, but my money says you will implode; but perhaps that’s what’s necessary.
